  1. That rooftop concert is now a classic. Thanks, Adam.
  2. Hi all. Toddlers are famous for two words -- "No!' and "Why?" In the adult world, the over-use of the first word probably explains most of the world's woes. The use of the second, however, may well explain most of humanity's advancements. Therefore I thought "Why not?" and thus this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Why?
  3. Did some research for this for a novel that included it in the story. What an amazing logistical feat. The various in and out routes to be coordinated, the planes procured, the foodstuffs and coal and medical supplies to be found, the German loading and unloading crews to learn best procedures -- all took an almost genius-level administration. Really quite a human highpoint.
  4. Me too John. Kind of confining. But here we are all free and dancing with friends. Good to have you and your back back.
  5. Hi all. Most of the countries represented here use peanut butter as a sandwich spread. Where we may differ is what we add to it on the sandwich. My family has always enjoyed peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. A friend's family likes peanut butter and banana. Online, I ran across a peanut butter and fish sandwich, which I cannot even imagine let alone stomach, but everyone to their own taste. And that leads to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: You have the bread and you have the peanut butter. What else will you add to make your peanut butter+ sandwich?
  6. This one is on the top ten coolest songs ever list. Plus it was really good technically. Thanks, Adam.
  7. Another soundtrack for our youth. Many memories. Thanks, Adam.
  8. Hi all. As research for my latest novel, I've been flying P3D/Orbx across North Africa then down into Sudan. After leaving Gibraltar, I landed in Tunis, Tripoli, Cairo, and Khartoum before finally arriving in Juba, South Sudan. At each city, I paused the flight and went to Google/YouTube to spend time learning about the place-- restaurants, hotels, sights to see, who is shooting whom right now, and so forth. I'm learning a lot and really enjoying it. And that leads to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'[S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Do you often back up your simulated flying with online/real life looks at the places you are seeing in simulation?
  9. Seemed like a collection of cliches to me, Doug. Loved the first one, this one not so much.
  10. Hi all. The internet has its downside--the dysfunctional social media, the dark web, and so forth. But it also has many positives. I love being able to access information instantaneously, My wife and I use Amazon happily. I Google a lot, treasure Wikipedia, use YouTube to travel the world, and deeply value the Orbx Forum. And that bring up this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What do you like about the internet?
  11. It's really good to see your enjoyment, John. Thanks for letting us in on it.
