  1. Superb conversion & shots! & concurrently PMDG announce the DC-6 for MSFS. Radials are on the way! TTM
  2. Thank you OD & other Gentlemen. Indeed, they have liveries & aircraft not found elsewhere & their FDE's on the 727 are superb. They feel very realistic in the Logitech stick, smooth, slow roll to left etc etc, as opposed to a few MSFS aircraft that have twitch syndrome on the stick. The DC-8 smokers are interesting. I got one going & HJG suppy smoke effects files that pour it out. They also have a wealth of knowledge on why/how the DC-8 smokes. I have copied an excerpt from an HJG forum, by Tony Madge. Finally the shot below is from when I got the smoke going over Orbx Global Base, out of KSEA. TTM (FSX) HJG ["IF" using FS2004 and FSX .... and "IF" (and "ONLY IF") using HJG supplied panels customized for our simulations .... and "IF" (once again "ONLY IF") one also has the HJG supplied Smoke Effects installed too .... then Smoke Effects, for "almost all of our own" simulations that require such are "auto-generating" when engine power is set to a high enough EGT indication to trigger these effects .... in excess of N2 80% from memory. The above information is true for all HJG supplied B707/720/C-135 series, B727, CV-880, CV-990, CARAVELLE, DC-8, DC-9, and MERCURE 100 simulations. PLEASE NOTE: In the case of the HJG supplied and water/methanol injected B367-80, B707-120/-138/and C-135A's .... as well as the similarly WI injected DC-8-10 SHIP ONE/-11/and -12 simulations too .... each these simulations (only) feature "Heavy Smoke Effects" (simulating emissions created by the temporary thrust augmentation resulting from water/methanol injection), but, as WI assisted thrust augmentation is available for a duration of "3 minutes only" (real world), the exhaust effects for "just these simulations (only)" will cease to function after that 3 minute duration is expired. It "IS NOT" then possible to engage any smoke effects until after engine shut down, at one's destination, and until one's next flight using the same simulation, and in the very same or another later FS session. That's the only limitation of Smoke Effects for "just the above mentioned HJG supplied simulations only" .... imposed by the fact that panel engine gauges can't be assigned 2 separate smoke effects files in order to result in constant, but much lighter, emissions (as we want to portray this at least) beyond expiry of the featured WI system.]
  3. Another HJG composition, this time a 1984 Ansett Air Freight aircraft based on the B727-200F ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-15. The livery is by Erik Ingram. If you want more detail on the component creators, that can be found in the HJG website. The shots are out of Melbourne using only Orbx FSX Global & HD Trees. So far, every HJG aircraft I have flow has been a pleasure to fly. TTM (FSX)
  4. Again out of Bozeman, & with the same FSX component provenance as the Kitty Hawk B727, but this time the livery is by Peter Liddell. The aircraft at one time was operated by Kelowna Flightcraft. It's CN/LN reference is 20839/1031 & it was broken up in Hamilton, Ontario, in June 2016 TTM (FSX)
  5. If you have FSX & take the trouble to work your way into the extensive Historic Jetliners Group. (HJG), [see here for link: https://simviation.com/hjg/main.htm ], Download offerings, you will be rewarded with some rare aircraft & liveries, & aircraft that fly very very smoothly. (Whoever wrote the FDE for this aircraft knows what they are doing) You download a Base File then download the appropriate Panel & Sound files & also liveries that pertain to the aircraft. Such is the diversity of aircraft engine variants for the 727 that I found it easiest to pick a livery & work back from that. The Base Pack for the aircraft below is the HJG Boeing 727-200F adv TL JT8D-9 v2. (I'm not sure who developed the Base Pack) Location is Orbx Bozeman, KBZN, by Jarrad Marshall, (a name I have not seen for a long time) The Panel is the B727-200 JT8D-9 "Adv", by Richard Probst and George Carty. Sounds are by B. Plamondon. The Kitty Hawk livery is for the 2006 - N856AA - B727-243F adv, by Tony Madge. It should be noted that while I am testing HJG aircraft the FSX is currently minimalist. It is running off a plug in SSD & I have Global & HD Trees & Bozeman loaded here, that's it. But I have ended up with a very nice 727-200F in a Livery I couldn't find anywhere else. TTM (FSX)
  6. Excellent compositions & choose of aircraft. Uninstall the Mesh & do shot #4 again so we can get a Before & After comparison. I wonder what the Mesh does for low rolling hills such as in Central Otago? TTM
  7. I wonder if you could slow the Default/New cycle down & hold each shot on for maybe 3 seconds ilo of what appears on my laptop to be less than a second per display? Or better still, use the 'swipe right' & hold" method as at the current speed I can't appreciate the subtleties between Default & New. TTM
  8. It occurred that a direct PM to Nick would probably be the fastest way to get an answer. But your assiduous monitoring of the forums was just as effective. Thank you Nick. TTM
  9. Well, there's hope for me yet! Well done, all 4 of you! TTM
  10. I recently reinstalled FSX, to my C drive, & Orbx Central picked it up straight away. Due to space limitations I have relocated FSX to a plug in SSD. (Which also carries XP11 & Orbx Central finds that without issue) After moving FSX, Orbx Central no longer shows it in my drop down list of Sims. (I suspect it is looking for it on the C drive) Is there a way for me to point Orbx Central to the new location of FSX? Thanks you TTM
  11. Dare I say it looks better in XP than MSFS? Must be the light & colors, but the aircraft 'sit' looks just right too. TTM
  12. I just put FSX back so I could run a few old tin can smoking noise makers & you pull XP11 out. Damn that looks good! Whose Spit? TTM
  13. Thank you Gentlemen. FSX is bare bones at the moment & will probably stay that way as practically everything I have in FSX I have in P3D. What was pleasing is that Orbx Central picked up the reloaded FSX straight away & I used it to update the Orbx Libraries & install Vernonia. With its utility, Central is essential & IMHO, the cornerstone of the Orbx system. TTM
  14. I recently came across my old FSX discs, [all 2 of them!], & loaded them back onto a PC. The shots below are FSX, Orbx Libraries & Vernonia Municipal, nothing else. Hence they are rough around the edges, being devoid of the Orbx layers that enhance FSX. TTM (FSX) Vernonia has always had a rustic charm & some great flowers I was surprised that the mechanic working on the Cessna moved. Also, note the tarpaulin behind the Cessna's tail. The words 'Bud Seager' appear, upside down. I wonder if that was an 'in' joke.
  15. I wondered how they could have an airport in a residential area. I imagine originally it wasn't, but suburbia spread & engulfed it. Property developers are no doubt rubbing their hands with glee. Your masterpiece will memorialize it. TTM
  16. These shots remind me of Vintage travel posters. Nice work. TTM
  17. At the moment the paint for the inside of the bathrooms in Terminal 3 is being manufactured at a boutique paint factory in Lichtenstein. When Marcus has finished personally applying the paint to the walls & then overseeing the attachment of the gold plated fixtures, he will turn his attention to the Terminal Cafe'. I understand he is still sorting out the Bistro menu. So, if I were you, I would fill your time with something not to taxiing, perhaps a hike up Mt Everest?, & then cross Russia by trail bike. We should see you back in about 3 years, just in time for the Bromma release. Remember, perfection takes time, & we are sure it will be worth the wait. TTM
  18. You'd be surprised how many people sit outside under an umbrella, in the rain. Primarily smokers. TTM
  19. I've noticed that the textural nuances of buildings & clutter are becoming increasingly of 'photographic' quality, & so it is with Elstree. What does "Conditional display of people models depending on season/time of day" mean? TTM
  20. With regard to a Bromma release & news of the inclusion of Visby - I wonder if you would consider completing Bromma & releasing it, with Visby as an update add on, rather than holding Bromma aside while Visby is completed, then releasing the combo package? TTM
  21. I missed this post. Visby too!, that is a bonus. 11th shot down - I can see why Bromma is taking the time it is taking. A very close look at the building fascia reveals subtle weathering & patched cracks. & are those 2 parking coupon vending machines? Small details in abundance & presumably all hand applied? TTM
