  1. Oh yes it was. And prove will be posted after my return home!
  2. Long time not seen, these islands. Thank you Andreas!
  3. T‘was my pleasure to make these shots, John!
  4. A great variety of great shots - from the true screenshot master…
  5. For me the most important inspirations I got from - Bowerman / Hoquiam - Cairns - AYPY Port Moresby / PNG These airports invited me to explore whole regions. And afterwards I even travelled in real to two of them.
  6. Thanks for watching and your question. The brisge is part of the state highway 6, means the most important road on the west coast. The Haast pass (further up the hills just before the Blue Pools) is the southernmost pass in the NZ Southern Alps. There are 2 (or 3?) escape pods on the bridge, where you can cooperate with any head traffic and let them / yourself pass. "Co-ordinate" is a word that would not work in German traffic... and that shows how relaxed life is at that part of the world.
  7. In my last post we went north from the fjordland of NZ´s south island: Today we continue our trip, passing Haast... ... and the Haast River bridge, which presented 2 surprises for us (not shown here): It is a single lane bridge for about a kilometer. And there were myriads of pesky Sandflies waiting for the crazy guy who took a photo. Following the Haast Pass road we encounter the Blue Pools, ... ... Lake Hawea... ... and Lake Wanaka. And by plane it is a relatively short hop from there over the Southern Alps... ... to NZMC Mount Cook. Time for another hike...
  8. Thank you Iain! Not too far from the southwest coast of the fjordland - but I won´t take a direct connection! Thanks Graeme. You know and love the area, too, I know. Thank you Wayne! Thanks for the compliment Adam. Kudos go to the scenery creators... Thanks Mikee!
  9. Hi Rodger, I hope you enjoy your Birthday and the necessary celebrational liquids. I am sure you are one of the persons here in this forum with the highest number of "followers", driven by your creativity and humour. All the best!
  10. Happy Birthday Karl. I am sure you know how not to dehydrate while reading your mail.
  11. On our final day in Milford we did the obvious cruise - early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The cruise includes a visit in the Underwater Observatory, which is even included in the NZMF scenery pack. Anyway, this sign is a real life shot from inside the building. Deviating from our real trip I took a plane to explore the region. First to Martin´s Bay... ... then "hiking" via Hidden falls Hut... ... to Alabaster Hut... ... and finally with a plane to Gorge River airstrip at the Tasman Sea coast.
  12. No, it did not - neither in inbox nor in spam. Unless you are the Nigerian lawyer who makes me aware of an unknown relative who handed me a fortune?
  13. What do I see here, Adam is aware of festive occasions... Happy Birthday @gumbypickett , I shall come over and shout ya a beer!
  14. Maybe short trousers and @flyingleaf Karl´s favourite therapy can help?
  15. Thank you Timmo. We were lucky with the weather down there, no need to capture thunderstorms! Thanks Adam. Just 3 flights and a car ride away from you, if you´d like to go there!
  16. From time to time we have a reunion. But that is up to those few who do the work. Interesting meetings, but not so exciting that you would need to exchange relevant news twice a year.
