  1. Good that we have this question again here. Not so good I don’t know the answer…
  2. I am currently flying to Munich, but with only 50 minutes changeover time I will not take the risk to leave the security area. I must get my hydration elsewhere…
  3. Oh, you get around this virtual globe, my friend…
  4. Stop it Carlos, I can’t digest any more of these great shots!
  5. Great shots and presentation of scenery, Iain.
  6. Indeed a nice place, but landside, as far as I remember?
  7. That is a good way of time measurement. But I fear some of us would not get very far in these intervals…
  8. For vfr flying I join most of you with a time between 45 and 90 minutes. For ifr I am more tolerant: after 1 h of preparation (including flight planning) I accept up to 13 h flying… with 4fold sim speed and the „pause at TOD“ option, of course.
  9. Oh yes it was. And prove will be posted after my return home!
  10. Long time not seen, these islands. Thank you Andreas!
  11. T‘was my pleasure to make these shots, John!
  12. A great variety of great shots - from the true screenshot master…
  13. For me the most important inspirations I got from - Bowerman / Hoquiam - Cairns - AYPY Port Moresby / PNG These airports invited me to explore whole regions. And afterwards I even travelled in real to two of them.
  14. Thanks for watching and your question. The brisge is part of the state highway 6, means the most important road on the west coast. The Haast pass (further up the hills just before the Blue Pools) is the southernmost pass in the NZ Southern Alps. There are 2 (or 3?) escape pods on the bridge, where you can cooperate with any head traffic and let them / yourself pass. "Co-ordinate" is a word that would not work in German traffic... and that shows how relaxed life is at that part of the world.
  15. In my last post we went north from the fjordland of NZ´s south island: Today we continue our trip, passing Haast... ... and the Haast River bridge, which presented 2 surprises for us (not shown here): It is a single lane bridge for about a kilometer. And there were myriads of pesky Sandflies waiting for the crazy guy who took a photo. Following the Haast Pass road we encounter the Blue Pools, ... ... Lake Hawea... ... and Lake Wanaka. And by plane it is a relatively short hop from there over the Southern Alps... ... to NZMC Mount Cook. Time for another hike...
  16. Thank you Iain! Not too far from the southwest coast of the fjordland - but I won´t take a direct connection! Thanks Graeme. You know and love the area, too, I know. Thank you Wayne! Thanks for the compliment Adam. Kudos go to the scenery creators... Thanks Mikee!
  17. Hi Rodger, I hope you enjoy your Birthday and the necessary celebrational liquids. I am sure you are one of the persons here in this forum with the highest number of "followers", driven by your creativity and humour. All the best!
