could you perhaps try using just the Orbx EU Germany North and South and the Orbx Libraries and see
whether that on its own results in your sudden use of all your RAM and of course the 20 minute loading time?
Orbx Germany for P3D is not a new or experimental product and certainly does not routinely cause this kind of problem.
The indexing problem is, as far as I am aware, only with Vector and it is of course not needed inside Orbx Regions.

firstly, the PC hardware has nothing to do with this problem.
It will occur regardless of the specifications.
In short, there are some things that P3D v5 does that other versions do not and one of them is to index every single Vector file.
It does not do this every time but it does do so the first time it starts if Vector has been added after having been disabled.
There is a simple rule, that the more scenery that is added, the longer P3D will take to start.
As an example, if I load every Orbx product at the same time, it does indeed take at least 20 minutes before I can fly.
My answer is not to do that.
I have here loaded at EDDF, with just EU Germany North and South.
There are no addon airports.
You can see that the product is performing as it should and it loaded from an ordinary HDD from "cold" in 1 minute, 25 seconds.
In this case, these are the settings.
You can see that the VRAM usage is not excessive

I think that your answer is probably to manage your scenery carefully and load only that which you require for the flight that you intend to make.

Do you mean that there is an ILS but it is broken, or that there is no ILS at all?

By the way, EDDT Berlin is by Gaya Simulations and EDLP Paderborn is by Aerosoft, so you seem
to be suggesting errors by three different developers.

I took a look at VTSP and indeed, it is covered in trees.
I had previously looked at VTBS and it is also covered in trees.
I looked at EGCC and it looked perfectly fine.
However, I took a look at a couple of other randomly chosen default airports and they look exactly how they should.
I cannot answer "I have this issue too", or "I'm having the same issue!" when there are numerous problems being reported.

as I understand it, the additional socket is there for very heavy use, typically a massive overclock on an already power hungry CPU.
The otherwise not very detailed manual for mine stresses that one must connect either the 8 pin or the
8 pin + 4 pin but never the 4 pin only and tells you nothing else at all.
I don't have any more suitable cables and a sensible CPU in any case.
It works well with just the 8 pin.

I am not sure if it is connected but it seems likely.
There is a huge problem with imports and exports at the moment at the main UK container ports.
Essentially, it seems that there has been stockpiling in the light of the 31st December deadline that
is fast approaching the UK, causing a bottleneck that some of this stock might be caught up in.
There are greater problems than just the supply of a few graphics cards, frustrating though that is.

In fairness, if you go to Trust Pilot and look at comments for Yodel, then DPD and then Hermes, the results are more or less the same, with all of them having far more good reports than bad.
I am sure that as in any large organisation, including the Royal Mail, there are a very few bad eggs but in my own experience, they are all as reliable as each other.
I have had hundreds of deliveries made, the last one was by DPD, delivery promised by last Monday and arrived at 11 am the Friday before, 18 hours after the order for the goods was placed.
The only one I have ever had to chase was because someone in Germany had decided to ignore the postcode that they had been given and use one for another town with the same name. That was UPS, who were excellent in dealing with the problem, once it had been identified.
I wish you good luck with your parcel but given the colossal volume that the parcel companies are dealing with in these straitened times, I think they do very well.

whether you have installed your products inside the simulator, or outside in an Orbx Central Library,
the easiest and entirely reversible way is to simply untick everything else, in either the scenery library or
the add-ons list respectively.
There are two freeware programs that make this even easier but I guess that you may already be familiar with them.
For the record, sitting on the ground at default EDDF in the DDW C-47, P3D v5 on my system is using 6166 GB of system RAM.
Flying with EA active and Orbx 7 weather, this rises to around 6600 GB.
