Hello,
thanks.
I am in touch with the developer and we should be able to fix this soon.

Hello,
it looks like LM have made changes that have adversely affected the bridge models.
Please uninstall the product.

After having X-Plane 12 for several days now and checking out most of the new version, I decided it was time to see if my Orbx scenery would work. I decided to try Washington and moved it over- no go- receiving an error message regarding missing files. Apparently v. 12 needs something v. 11 does not. Hopefully, Orbx is diligently working on the update.
Hello,
it should work, it does here.
Please see if this post is of any help to you.
Best to add all of your products, then you may be sure that you did not miss anything.

Hello,
here are four ways to load all of your Orbx products into X Plane 12.
The products that cannot be installed using Orbx central should work butof course will not have the additional features that are available in X Plane 12.
Method 1.
To be used if you do not have X Plane 11 or any Orbx products installed.
Go to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local.
There you will see x-plane_install_12.txt
Rename it to x-plane_install_11.txt
Open Orbx Central and it will recognise your X Plane 12 installation as X Plane 11.
You can then install any previously uninstalled Orbx products.
When you have finished, rename the text file back to x-plane_install_12.txt
Method 2.
To be used if you no longer have X Plane 11 installed.
It requires that you have installed your Orbx products into an Orbx Central Library.Go to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local.
There you will see x-plane_install_12.txt
Rename it to x-plane_install_11.txt
Open Orbx Central and it will recognise your X Plane 12 installation as X Plane 11.
Run Orbx Central\Settings\Help\Sync Simulator.
When you have finished, rename the text file back to x-plane_install_12.txt
Method 3.
To be used if you have both X Plane 11 and X Plane 12 installed.
It requires that you have installed your Orbx products into an Orbx Central Library.
You will see x-plane_install_11.txt, temporarily rename it to x-plane_install_11xx.txt.
Rename x-plane_install_12.txt to x-plane_install_11.txt
Open Orbx Central for X Plane 11 and run Sync Simulator.
Rename the two text files back to x-plane_install_11.txt and x-plane_install_12.txt
Method 4.
To be used if you installed all of your products into X Plane 11\Custom Scenery.
Copy or make links of all of the contents of X Plane 11\Custom Scenery into X Plane 12\Custom Scenery
Note 1: this link appears to give the location of the x-plane_install_1x.txt file in OSX and Linux

Note 2: now that Orbx Central does install some products into X Plane 12, do not install both X Plane 11
and X Plane 12 versions of the same product into X Plane 12.

Hello,
customers are not constrained by the need to provide a good quality and working version of a commercial product.
For this reason, customer workarounds may well work and in some cases they do, but something that does not work
as it should cannot be released as a working product to be installed by Orbx Central.Orbx Team Members will not be offering "official" customer support until that is the case.
It should also be noted that X Plane 12 has been released as "Early Access".
This is the latest "official" position.

Hello,
please have a look at this topic by Jim Young (RIP) at the Avsim forums.
He has summarised all of the potential causes that he could think of and also mentions
his own solution.
You might start with that perhaps

Hello,
allow me to congratulate you on the first topic to be moved into this peer to peer forum.

Hello,
X Plane 11, by the way, does not use the "registry" at all.
Orbx Central finds it by reading C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\x-plane_install_11.txt.
That gives it the location and then it must also find a copy of X-Plane.exe there.
It seems highly unlikely that X Plane 12 would use the same file names and until Orbx Central is
told where to look, it will not find it.
I am sure that an enterprising customer could cobble together a workaround based on that information.
It might even work, who knows?
Naturally, it would be entirely unsupported.

Hello,
as mentioned, it was a fault with the forum server.
It has now been fixed and you should not see the error message again.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

Hello,
your uploads are very small, presumably because you use postimage to link from, which does not add to the upload size to the forum.
I had a look and see a warning that all is not quite well with the forums, so I would advise you to do nothing and I will tell the IT staff.
I am seeing the same message, if I try to upload anything.

Hello,
upon the release of P3D v5, Orbx stated that wherever possible, P3D v4 products would be released for P3D v5.
In the case of the city scenes, it has been found that there are too many differences to release a good enough version.
As above, you are welcome to try it for yourself.
Orbx do not appear to make a version of El Prat airport.

Hello,
I am writing this to clarify the pricing system and in response to numerous support tickets.
Orbx is obliged to add local taxes to product prices.
Orbx Direct can be viewed whether logged in to an Orbx Direct account or not logged in to an Orbx Direct account.
If a potential customer views Orbx Direct without first logging in, Orbx Direct does not know where that customer is
and cannot, therefore, calculate how much, if any, local tax must be added to the price.
The customer will see the price displayed like this:
Please note the text underneath the price, which explains that the price does not include local tax
and that local tax will be applied at the checkout.
Once the customer decides that they would like to buy the product, to complete the purchase, they
must first log on to Orbx Direct.
Once they have done that, Orbx Direct knows who they are and where they are and can calculate the
correct rate of local tax.
It does so and adds it to the price.
Please note the text underneath the price which now states that local tax has been applied.
Similarly, when a discounted price is offered as a result of previous ownership of another product,
the discount will not be applied until the customer has logged on and Orbx Direct can then identify the
qualifying product in the customer's Orbx Direct account.
I hope that this clarifies the system, so that future customers do not need to submit a support ticket
asking why there are two prices.

I currently have Orbx scenery for MSFS installed on the same drive as the sim.
Soon, I will start running out of space.
Is there an easy way to move that scenery to a different drive please?
Thanks
Hello,
I rather think that this is exactly what the addons linker is for.

Hello,
I can't give you a definitive answer to that but the most likely explanation could be that they were already there before the User Account setting changed.
-
Hello,
the most common and possibly the only reason for the repeated request to allow newly installed products to run,
is the inability of P3D to write to its configuration files.
If you have some already successfully activated, then perhaps something has now changed on your PC that is newly
preventing the writing to the configuration files.
That could include
Not running P3D as an administrator, meaning that Prepar3D.exe must be run as an administrator, not that Prepar3D.exemust be run by an administrator on the PC.
Setting the configuration files as read only.
Elevating Windows User Account settings too far.

Hello,
may I suggest that you just use links to your existing scenery?
