  1. Thank you Jack . Well, it's only money!
  2. It looks like you had fun Johnny . Excellent shots of the aerodrome.
  3. A good video John. I can see the big difference in frame rate but TAA does look sharper (better) in the video IMO. I guess that I will just have to try the different options when SU10 is released .
  4. Love the blues in the sea Martyn. Great shots .
  5. ....bluebirds fly . Great shot capturing the rainbow Martyn .
  6. Glad that you liked them Adam
  7. Many thanks Calum . The Hellcat was designed to replace the earlier F4F Wildcat and counter the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M “Zero”. The Grumman F6F became the United States Navy’s dominant fighter in the second half of World War II. Hellcats were credited with destroying a total of 5,223 enemy aircraft while in service with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm (FAA) – more than any other Allied naval aircraft.
  8. Thanks Adam . They are OK as the wind is blowing away from them. Having said that, the engine noise is a different matter!
  9. Thanks John . The map is useful for spotting the different Orbx airports around London. Yes sir, I have a checklist to action before I leave the Hellcat!
  10. Thank you Martyn . Fortunately, there are some very talented repainters now working on MSFS.
  11. No wonder so many pilots became lost Jack. A real challenge in those days.
  12. Note to self: unfold and lock before flight F6F Hellcat at EGTF Fairoaks Airport. The airport is situated SW of London, UK. (MSFS)
  13. Hi Gumby, these are the 'stock' AI aircraft in MSFS. I haven't found a traffic add on that I like yet. I keep the slider at about 40%. Oddly if I go much higher I can get fewer aircraft! There is also an option to go 'live traffic'. The one thing I have added is Aerosoft Simple Traffic. This product has only one goal: To replace the default fictional liveries of the simulator with existing liveries. So, you see a lot of Delta aircraft at Atlanta, KLM at Schiphol, and Air France around Paris. It doesn't change the AI models or do anything else. But I find it a big improvement as I kept seeing Aeroflot or similar at the wrong airports. Hope that's useful
  14. Thanks Rodger. I installed the freeware version of PMS 50 in MSFS recently and can use that also .
  15. I love warbirds and have a few in each simulator. They usually have a 'cheat' button so that I can bring up a GPS 430 or 530. Without those navigation can be difficult. Then I resort to a map and compass and fly low following landmarks. That's ok in daylight but not easy at night or when there is a lot of heavy low cloud. I wondered how they managed in real life? So, I have started to read articles about navigation in the thirties and forties. Here is a link to just one article that might be of interest - Navigation: From Dead Reckoning to Navstar GPS - Air & Space Forces Magazine (airforcemag.com)
  16. An interesting post Bernd . I have spent time in Kenya and South Africa, but never Namibia. Africa is an amazing continent.
  17. Fun post Jack. Your Merc didn't even get dirty off road!
  18. Glad that you enjoyed them John
  19. Many thanks Martyn . Interestingly, the Hellcat was the first aircraft used by the 'Blue Angels' (USN display team) in 1946.
  20. Thank you Landon . I cannot resist a good warbird!
