But only at a certain distance, especially for screenshots etc. While the 512x512 clouds do look even a tad more realistic up close as the edges are not clear crisp and sharp but more fuzzy, at a certain distance the HD clouds provide a more realistic view. Bummer. Trade off, for now, I use 1024x1024 clouds plus the soft clouds from REX, this results in a good compromise between nice optics for the clouds further away and higher up and soft and fuzzy clouds closer to the ground where I fly. Personally, I could easily live with HD clouds for the stratus/cirrus levels only, as you can see a clear difference between stratus/cirrus layers using HD clouds or the low 512x512 resolution stratus/cirrus cloud layers...
