Bandit
We had an incident at the 2009 airshow in Avalon where a gust storm flipped a number of airctaft. What some pilots called being tied down was, well lets say it left a lot to be desired.

John Dow
We had an incident at the 2009 airshow in Avalon where a gust storm flipped a number of airctaft. What some pilots called being tied down was, well lets say it left a lot to be desired. A link to the Avalon incident: http://www.mycanberra.com.au/Videos/ Download the video called FlippedPlanes.wmv The plane in the video was tied down but the wind was too strong... not only were the stakes pulled out of the ground but the wing spar on one side was damaged as the tie down rope proved briefly stronger than the plane!
