Rodger Pettichord
Hi all. Most of us have built libraries of our favorite planes by now. Even MSFS folks are starting to have decent options. It's fun to think of a task and pick a plane to fly it. I like back-country cargo deliveries in Alaska with a a dirty, beat-up Cessna 185 I got as freeware many years ago. Out of curiosity, let's see what planes others enjoy using for various tasks. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What planes would you fly for the following tasks? 1. Flying hunters to a camp in Alaska. 2. Flying 200 passengers from New York to London. 3. Flying supplies to hill villages in Papua New Guinea. 4. Flying heavy cargo from Los Angeles to Tokyo. 5. Flying a medical team on a village hop in Kenya. 6. Flying tourists on sight-seeing tours in the islands of French Polynesia. 7. Flying local kids on a look-about over your home town.
flyingleaf
Number one. That is also what the Mule Team does regularly. Also reminds me of a "true" story about two hunters,( Bubba and Billy-Bob) who flew into the bush with a young Bush Pilot. After they finished the hunt and bagged two Moose, the pilot said:" Look guys I can take your equipment and one Moose that's it, looks like too much weight to carry everything." Bubba say's:"Whadadamean? That Pilot we took last year carried everything in one li'l old trip." So the young fairly new Pilot thinks well if he can do it so can I. They loaded everything on board and took off. One hour later they crashed. After crawling out of the plane, Billy-Bob says: "I sure lak to know wherewe's is". Bubba says: " Ah know exactly wherewe's is" Billy-Bob and the Pilot ask: "Where Bubba?". Bubba says:" Same place we crashed last year". k
