March competition discards...

Recommended Posts

Well, I have been gliding around, looking for a nice location to do a photoshoot, so far it's only discards I have to offer - the competition is very strong. Booker and Zell might be favourite...

The Ball - but I used that subject last month. However I did fly exactly this position, upside down in their Pilatus b4 back in 1976...

View from the tower @ Zell. That dark blot right of the sun is me.

Wind... Undercarriage... Landing gear and area... Flaps... check!

Zell does look great on a nice day and there's plenty of ridge lift with a good northerly or southerly wind. Ridge soaring is quite fun in msfs.

Finals!

But none of these for the competition. I guess I'll have to learn to fly a huge tin tube to be in with a chance.

I think you are far too hard on yourself.

A great image, should capture the attention of your audience, draw them in and make them linger looking at what is shown.

The third from the end, really does that for me

I really did spend time marveling at all this image has to offer.

It conveys what a wonderful day to be out flying and invokes ones own memories of what an enjoyable experience it can be.

I was standing there right beside you enjoying every minute of it.

It doesn't get much better than that :)

Well done, very well done indeed!

Cheers

Pete
