Jon, thanks for the news clip, for your interest I play golf with Bill Purdy in Sydney AUS, Bill is 96 and was a Lancaster pilot in the second world war.

I have had him over to my house to fly my Lancaster on my simulator.

Pretty amazing to play golf at 96 and he's not too bad either.

Very interesting and must be a privilege for you to know him so well. It also highlights the external support that was given to Britain from all corners of the world, especially those who hailed from what is now the Commonwealth.
