VH-KDK
I saw one do this as the finale to a display at the British GP at Brands back in the late 60s. The highlight if the day, even better that the red P-51 that was also there.

Never saw one but the stories are amazing - one I read said it had an initial rate of climb of 20000 fpm, could intercept the USAF U2 aircraft and at least one recorded 'Ballistic climb' to 88000 ft. My brother lived close to RAF Binbrook, near Grimsby and they were an amazing sight and sound there too, coming and going. Sheer power!
teecee
Saw one of these in the early sixties at an airshow at Church Fenton AB ( now gone) I still remember it occasionally, as it was one of the highlights of my life (truly) what a great aircraft.
