He entered the Royal Navy, rising to the rank of Rear Admiral - he was a Lieutenant under George Vancouver who named the Sound for him. Lopez Island - the green part at the top is British Columbia CA. Haven't been TE'd yet. Anacortes Deception Pass, separating Fidalgo and Whidbey Islands - Whidbey NAS along the shore on the right.
