Basically, everything ticked ... apart from "No shadow flagged" (I never did understand what that meant). Of course my frame rate is terrible - but it looks nice . All the terrain+autogen shadowing (plus cloud shadows) all give depth to the landscape, IMHO. The actual *strength* of these shadows is controlled individually by PTA. It's possible also that HD Trees also give better shadowing, but I've used them for so long that I've forgotten what default trees look like. Adam.
