Stumpy goes to Calgary

The old 767 200 series does look rather strange to me now, looking very short and stumpy. I cannot remember when I saw the last one as all the ones I see on my travels now  are the longer 300 series.

FTX PNW, NRM, OLC NA, Trees, Vector, P3DV4, Posky B762, REX TD EE, PTA with Adams preset 2_54 REX.

Everything set and departing Portland  KPDX for Calgary CYYC.

Turning over the Willamette and Colombia Rivers.

3.kc3.jpg

Swift Reservoir with Mount St Helens.

4.kc4.jpg

Approaching Mount Adams.

5.kc5.jpg

And passing.

6.kc6.jpg

Over Yakima and Union Gap.

7.kc7.jpg

The Wanapum Dam on the Columbia River.

8.kc8.jpg

High over some flat farmland in Eastern Washington State.

9.kc9.jpg

The distinctive forestry 1/4 sq mile cut blocks close to Coolin.

10.kc10.jpg

Kootenay Lake at Creston.

11.kc11.jpg

Colombia Flats with the Kootenay River flowing past the head of Colombia Lake which is the source of the Colombia River.

12.kc12.jpg

Approaching CYYC over the Bow River.

13.kc13.jpg

Crossing 16th Avenue NE just before landing.

14.kc14.jpg

Hit the runway but the ILS brought me well to the left of the centre line.

Disembarking at the end of an enjoyable flight.

Great scenery you are flying arcoss, Martyn, and you even touch @BradBs home turf!

Also very interesting to see you get an old POSKY creation working in v4.

Excellent trip and commentary Martyn! :)

That's a really nice livery on the 767. You are right - it does look short compared to the ones seen today.

Thanks Paul glad you liked the set.

Outstanding quality here Martyn!  Do you know how many years I worked 767's from tip to tail?  Too many to count and I miss it.  Stupid heart problem, now I can't work planes at all.  I'm grounded and it bugs the heck out of me.

Cheers Jack,  you would know every part of those 767s. so sad you have had to give it all up.

Cheers

So that is who was shining the laser at my plane. Did you see me shaking my fist at you out of the open cockpit window?

Thanks Gerold. The 767 is a P3Dv3/v4 download from Simviation. They have several airliners and now some military that are V4 compatible.

Yes the Canadians are a friendly bunch......for the time being.
