FTX GEN : Air Berlin to Berlin

The question came up if FTX GEN is suitable for IFR flying. While that was more about VAS print these pictures answer that about how it actually does look like.

See for yourself (Using Aerosoft's Cologne/Bonn and Tegel from the German Airport Series on top of FTX here):

Superb shots. Looks like there were no VAS issue. How about FPS with the PMDG?

cheers

In P3D I always get excellent fluidity in the NGX. I never care to look at actual frames, but I have mine set at 30 (half my monitors refreshrate).

VAS was an issue as I was taxiing into the gate. The moment I tried to access GSX I had an OOM. But as long as I can finish the actual flight that is fine by me.

I have to mention that Aerosoft's EDDB was also activated, maybe that was a factor.

Come lift her where she belongs. Air Berlin, I mean.

From that altitude I do not see much detail... difficult to compare with OpenLC.

But you did recognize Hannover in the outside shot? ;)

I admit the clouds obscure much of the city in that shot.

If you want to compare to OLC you can recreate the flight and see for yourself. I noticed quite considerable more detail.

Here is the flightplan: PODIP Y867 WRB UM864 TOLGI Z90 DLE T207 BATEL

Now I recognize it. The Maschsee (all vectors correct - as before), the fairground (this is much better than with OLC).
