  1. But --- where's the Kangaroos at my local field - and I can almost see my house You could have landed for a Barbie
  2. If anybody in Australia or New Zealand is hunting for one - Gorrilla Gaming - and Gamesmen are advertising in stock for both alpha and Bravo
  3. Att Tim Foster On the point of more stuff around SE VIC - there is also a Dummy strip at Cape Schank Toraddin etc if you look into the same Main URL as the Inverloch freeware
  4. I knew I had seen it somewhere - its on 2020 and here's a pic I just took Yep - Barry it is - he was a mate of Blair Hodges - Real Estate - Inverloch - who had a Piper cub then 182R - and his own strip just off the Inverloch /Leongatha road that we used as well - its still there and can just be made out out on 2020' - see pic. We use to refer to it as "Inverloch International" - 38.36.59 S - 145.43.51 E In searching for your airport - I came across a freeware of "Inverloch' - and it's not Blair's strip - YIVE Inverloch Airport Victoria ยป Microsoft Flight Simulator Just landed there - not bad - see pic I used to have the Hardware store in Inverloch 1980- 1985 and a PA32 at YMMB
  5. I'm sure that on one of my sims is Leongatha - I will have to check and come back I actually landed there in the sim and surprised to find all the buildings there As you said - I used to fly into there - Physically - in the 70s from YMMB - and one building only - used by a mate who flew the Aggie in the early 80's and another Inverloch mate who has his own strip just off the Leongatha road at Inverloch
  6. To save myself too much embarrassment by posting this elsewhere on the forum and all the youngsters making remarks - like "silly old " whatsit - I feel safe here What the hell is this new thing called "Discord" every one seems to want me to join In my day - "Discord" meant disagreements Maybe a good name for a forum on 4 different flight sims and their merits
  7. Here we have another chance for vertical flight in one of the beloved Mash helicopters and this time a payware, I can just hear the theme music as I Chuka Chuka some where in the backblocks of Orbx L.A TEarth
  8. I know I placed a thread on the MSFS discussion page with this title - but I think in the interest of all our simmers - other General participants on this forum might just be interested in what is going on in the freeware aircraft scene - namely a helicopter that MS/Asobo said unlikely to be on this sim before 22 I have never been a helicopter aficionado - but this one has me going flat out. Now - I can fly an aircraft of sorts to an airport any where --- and then chopper my way around the local scenery Stand by - Orbx Cityscapes THIS is Simulation writ large !!!
  9. If it's as good as the current Orbx Gold Coast - that will be nice ++++1 But - and don't forget the Gold Coast Cityscape upgrade --- MSFS is 8 years old
  10. Might as well put in my 2 cents worth - and I totally agree with Anthony - except that I would add the Cityscape to my request because that's my home town and airport Since UK was upgraded - I have actually started to try out MSFS and since I spent some 35 years of my life there - I am Familiar with the country and find that MSFS isn't all that bad for a GA /VFR bloke However - Asobo's view of Australia is atrocious - and the Gold coast area is at least 7 years old My house is a building site - and I've lived in it for 7 years - It's 4 years since we had the Commonwealth Games on the GC - and MSFS shows the athletes village - and Swimming complex - in in early construction - the old hospital still standing - where a new block of units is being built - and the new Hospital - still under construction although opened 5 years ago. We have marinas all over the place - but they are all sunk. Strangely though - the Bing Satellite shows us a right up to date Please Orbx - give us an MSFS Cityscape and airport - and I will even move over to MSFS for my VFR
  11. It was supposed to be Joke - note the wink !!!!! Someone else thought so
  12. Same meeting - "Lets put this story up on April One" "Nah' - they won't believe us and inundate us more of the 35,189 CTD sites and let's just remember the Orbx Motto" "You can satisfy some of the people some of the time - some of the people none of the time - But - none of the people - All of the time" and then again - NiIl illigitimum simulatus Pilatus Carborundum
  13. A spitfire opened the new runway in July It's only fitting that an A2A Spitfire should open The new Orbx Runway - and do a Battle of Brisbane beat up as well
  14. Nice one Orbx - and thanks for the new Brissie Aerodrome for P3D4/5 and for the 50% discount Now we look forward to the completion of the MSFS product integrated with the Cityscape
  15. I know there was another similar titled thread but I wanted to keep the setups separate form the earlier thread If some of you are like me - and don't know "programming" - you might have run into the same problems setting up these controllers in P3D 4 - and - 5 -------- XP an MSFS are reasonably simple - but both my controllers sit there quite "Dumbed down" when I use - most of the time - only P3D. Over on U - tube you may have come across and older bloke - named "SIMHANGER" Apart from his usual very clever reviews - he has been knee deep in MSFS this last few weeks - and did a series of instructions on "How To" in MSFS - and that includes the setting up both controllers in MSFS - and also one for XP - so easy for a dill like me to follow He did one in the early stage of Alpha - which wasn't too helpful - in his words - because it was so complicated Sticking my neck out as usual - I E mailed him and requested that he do a new video giving us a new video and setup This he has done today on https://youtu.be/gBtNIj1YbWg - and I have yet to try it - and here's hoping I can make some sense out of very large expense of $$$$$$$$
  16. Labelling any area "EAST" - or West for that matter - should be a No NO and regions are specific geographically - and sometimes marked by trade organizations. Once upon a time - Asia was - and sometimes - still is - the "Far East" To those of us who live in Asia - Yes!! - Australia is a country in Asia -(Asian Trade Region) - the Far East is Europe - the Near East - is The Pacific Ocean and the Middle East - the Americas and Canada -
  17. Looks like Auscene took my advice after all I wonder if the next one will be Southport? Give us a proper Longreach - Guys
  18. Finally - we get something for we Aussies -outside of Sydney - and WOW - Brisbane has Bridges - and makes one wonder how the experts coped with the 6 year old Bing landscape?? No messing - these pics are great - (Ian)? - and the work you guys have done to our capital city is very well received by this Queenslander who now awaits the porting of the Gold Coast to really get me excited My credit card is jumping - but it will have to wait - until I move across to MSFS --- sometime later this year - or an Australian Update
  19. Second step to an Australia update ??????? - when that happens - and no longer 7 YO Bing scenery - then I'll start using MSFS and get the credit card out - but I will get it out much sooner when the NEW Brisbane Airport for P3D V5 comes out
  20. I agree Just this minute got back from having X-Rays and Ultra sound scans on both my Knees As usual -the operator did a check to make sure I was who I was - she asked for my birthdate When I told her it ended in 1935 - she said - "Well - you don't look that old!" Her Oriental eyes were smiling behind the mask - ---- I think?
  21. The Whole World will then really be at our feet - ahem - undercarriage
