  1. From the early reviews & Forum posts, excellent work is being acknowledged. Jonathan Beckett has just put a First Look up on YouTube. VC is stunning. An Analogue instrument fans dream Once the day is organized, I will be purchasing it. Was it put together by aircraft specialists within the Orbx team, or 3rd party aircraft specialists sub contracting to Orbx?? TTM
  2. I have my fingers crossed WU12 with the Orbx Caribou will be released today, [2/23/2023], as I am looking forward to taking the DHC-4 out & about. I have been watching real life videos of the Caribou's STOL performance & wonder if the 'reverse prop/reverse thrust' feature has been included in the aircraft's build? TTM
  3. Took one of the MSFS/AH 40th Anniversary DC-3's from SPTN to SPQU, in Peru. Over the stunning Orbx South American mesh. TTM
  4. Nice selection of perspectives & detail. TTM
  5. An outlier in Alaska, plus Alaska mesh. Leaving PADU early morning for PAPH. Half way down the runway I noticed the wind sock was pointing with me, not against, & the wind was 20kts! So the departure was a sea scraping exercise. Unalaska has a lot of detail yet to be discovered & looks to have been nicely executed. TTM
  6. Using the passenger variant & the TDS GTNXi GPS I was able to set up & execute an ILS landing into Rwy 17 at Malmo, (ESMS) Despite a 20 kt tail wind the PAC came in very smoothly so I left it alone & it basically autolanded. Bit of a 'thump' sound, but no bounce. There are 1 or 2 things that need tweaking, [the Landing Lights do not appear to turn Off], but overall it is a really nice & versatile aircraft to set up & fly, & you get 4 aircraft for the price of 1! TTM PS - The TDS GTNXi needs to be installed in each variant via the in-cockpit iPad. I forgot that when trying to set it up for the previous flight in Alaska.
  7. Jack, I have the TDS GTNXi & can, via the tablet, switch it in per the product comment below. The GTNXi is working well so far & I am going to test it further. Per John's comment, the 750 is not yet 'fittable'. TTM "A panel-mounted tablet allows you to configure parts of the aircraft, like connecting ground power, switching the display units, and enabling TDS GTNXi support."
  8. This time the Skydiver out of Mt Cook, NZ, over Orbx NZ mesh, & a couple for the Freight variant trying to ILS into PAKT. Haven't got that sorted yet. TTM Departed PAKT, Rwy 11 & now circling back to come back into Rwy 11 on an ILS track. I was able to capture the Nav1 morse signal but couldn't hold the descent to 3%, it was steeper. I was using the standard GPS as the TDI decided it wanted a reset. Too low this far out so it was hand flown in rather than on the AP.
  9. I suspect at this stage it doesn't drop fertilizer as I think it would have been highlighted in publicity shots. Perhaps in future refinements? TTM
  10. Due to budget restraints, a bit late to the party for this one. A short flight out of NZLX, Alexandra, located in the Central Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. An appropriate place for a test flight of an iconic NZ aircraft, the top dressing variant being 1st out of the hangar. Flight went well, aircraft is very smooth & appears to have a lot going on on the dashboard. I had the TDS GTNXI GPS system in my arsenal so I loaded that, but may have to rethink this as the TAWS was firing off as I flew low over the terrain. Something that a top dresser must do for authenticity, but it sets off the strident "Pull Up"!, & "Watch out for the Terrain" voices. Perhaps I can silence them somehow? What I have seen of the aircraft so far I like, & I look forward to putting in more time in the different variants. TTM
  11. Well, I hope it is released by this weekend. Coming down the pike is the MSFS 40th Anniversary event on November 11th, [if they don't postpone it] Given that that event has quite a few free aircraft that will divert attention from any payware releases, Orbx has about a month to release & promote the 750 XSTOL before attention is side lined to the much awaited DC-3, and so on. TTM
  12. I think it was a Drone lens effect. TTM
  13. Thought I would have a look at the bonus airfield that came out with the Bromma/Malmo updates. Took the Ant's Tiger Moth in a Jankees Swedish livery out for a quick look around. Houses tucked away everywhere. A nice addition to Swedish small airfields & worth a close up look. Shots are pretty rough. TTM
  14. Yes, in at the top, out the bottom. The Pilot & Loader/Driver are a team & a good team can turn the aircraft around very quickly. Fertilizer spreading is usually carried out early morning or at dusk, needing very low wind to avoid drift. & often the FU-24's had minimum muffling and you could hear them miles away. The aircraft itself is very strong & powerful. The biggest risks are engine failure on take off and power line strikes. There was an emergency dump lever for the former & wire cutting edges on the wings for the latter, but unfortunately it is a high risk occupation with attendant fatalities. TTM
  15. If you do add a few more liveries for the Top Dressing version, can I suggest "Wanganui Aero Work Ltd"? The image is the Fletcher FU-24-950, which is a predecessor of the Cresco, which itself is a predecessor of the 750 XSTOL. The Fletcher/Cresco fertilizer top dressing runs over hill country farms are very spectacular & often involved diving down about 20' above the paddock then pulling up into a steep climb followed by a wing over & top dressing pass going back the other way. Here is an example of the type of country they operate in in New Zealand & the makeshift airstrips they use. TTM
  16. Inspired choice! Takes me back to watching the Cresco's working the farms behind where I lived in NZ,& in the Wanganui sheep farm hill country & around Taihape. Used to fly a freeware version in FSX & this is very welcome in MSFS. Hope it sells well. TTM PS - Is this an Orbx In House development or a 3rd party Partner product? Visuals look very good.
  17. Nice set of images! You refer to a DC-3. Was that the one we thought was coming in 2021? TTM
  18. Johnny - Nicely composed chickens. The Lady In The Chair is an interesting addition. Not sure if she has dropped LSD, but her stare suggests her Right Brain is somewhere else I can't comment on the Goose, other than it looks to be hustling for food. TTM
  19. Probably some of your "Storage Wars" purchases TTM
  20. Another superb set of shots. Aircraft is a winner. How do you move between cockpits?? TTM
