Hello,
please don't derail this topic, it's a bug report, intended for the developer to
see and address.
If you have wider issues, please post instead into the X Plane 11 Support forum,
or indeed the Orbx Central support forum for problems with installations.
-
Hello Jon,
agreed and I absolutely agree with Maurice that it is an unintended consequence that does need to be addressed.
-
Hello,
I have not touched the ini file, so I expect that without outside influence,
Orbx Central writes the entries in like this:
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_US_Washington_TE_Custom/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_US_Washington_TE_Overlay/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_US_Washington_TE_Orthos/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_US_Oregon_TE_Custom/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_US_Oregon_TE_Overlay/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_US_Oregon_TE_Orthos/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_US_NoCal_TE_Custom/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_B_US_NoCal_TE_Overlay/
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_C_US_NoCal_TE_Orthos/Thanks indeed to Maurice and Sentry11
I have slightly modified the title and as the topic is already in the Bug Report forum,
the developer(s) should see it.
-
I have merged the duplicate topic.
-
Mine is the SD version Jon.
Maurice's fix at the top of the ini file.
It does look a bit like a lottery.

I have created a new sub forum for bug reports.
Please use this so that the developers can go to one place to read the reports.
Please note that the new sub forum is not for problems with making X Plane 11 or
the Orbx scenery work, it is for reporting anomalies or omissions that may be
found in working copies of products.
-
Hello,
your request is noted but I do not have an answer for you.
-
Hello, thanks.
I will add this to the list of things to be done for the service pack
-
Hello Jörg,
the problem was identified and a fix provided very quickly but you do need to read and apply it.
The other problems are most likely because either you have not updated the Australian airports or
you have done so but not yet applied the correct setting in the new control panels.
No one has asked you to do anything more than download one small file, place it in a folder and then
run Sync Simulator in Orbx Central.
If you feel that this is too much, please wait until the file is added to the installer and run Verify files.
I have asked, as I stated, for it to be included but as yet have received no feedback.
-
Hello,
I don't think that we need to trouble Holger Sandmann.
The Orbx Central installer seems to fail to add a necessary file.
I attach a copy of it, please put it into ORBX\scripts and
run Sync Simulator.
I have asked the developers to fix this.

Problem:
If there are two instances of Objectflow 2 in the P3D v4 add-ons menu and both are active,
Objectflow does not work and airport products do not display as intended.
Typical examples will be missing runway textures, building roofs or buildings themselves.
Cause:
FTX Central and Orbx Central both add Objectflow 2 to the add-ons menu but in different ways.
Orbx Central deletes the Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\Orbx ObjectFlow 2 folder when
it is used to install Objectflow 2.
If a customer then runs FTX Central, a new Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\Orbx ObjectFlow 2
folder will be created and the next time P3D v4 is run, there will be two Objectflow 2 instances.
Solution:
Close P3D v4.
Delete Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\Orbx ObjectFlow 2
Restart P3D v4.
Prevention:
Either do not run FTX Central if you have already installed Orbx Central
or be aware and after each use of FTX Central remember to delete that folder before P3D v4 is started.
UPDATE: FTX Central is now deactivated.

Hello,
in the event that you lose or forget your password, the first step to take is to
request a password by clicking on Forgot password
Once done, this window will appear.
There are three choices.
1. Click on Send reset email, highlighted in yellow.
Note: this must be the e mail address that you registered at Orbx Direct when you opened your account.
2. Click on Remembered your password?, highlighted in green.
This will take you back to the log in window where you can enter your password.
3. Click on Need an account?, highlighted in red.
Use this option if you cannot access your Orbx Direct account because you have not yet created one.
4. If all the above options fail, post a support request in the Orbx Direct support forum.

Agreed and the developer has been made aware of this.

Can you guys please be more transparent re seasons support? It's not always obvious from your press-releases and P3D screenshots. Especially with the latest cross-platform releases and that permanent TrueEarth's summer.
Hello,
EGPH for P3D v4 changes with the seasons, as does EU Scotland.
An airport designed for both regions but installed into a TEGB product,
at present of course TEGB South is the only one, does not change with
the seasons.

Hello,
just copy the detail1.bmp file of your choice.
The runway textures go into the main texture folder, if you want to try them.
-
Hello,
each simulator has its own version of this choice.
Which one you see depends on which simulator you selected when you opened Orbx Central.
To cover all the options, you will see one of these:
You will not see one for FSX or FSX-SE because FSX and FSX-SE do not support installing products outside the simulator root folder.
You will not see the named libraries at the right hand side until you have created them.
You can place them wherever you wish to and give them a name of your choice.
If you have not done so, you will see this:
and of course the same for each of the other simulators, except FSX and FSX-SE, when you will not see this message at all.
Please note.
You must have a minimum of one Orbx Central Library for P3D v4, to install Objectflow.
There is no requirement to install any other products into that Orbx Central Library.
There is no requirement to create an Orbx Central Library for X Plane 11 or Aerofly FS 2.
You cannot create an Orbx Central Library for FSX or for FSX-SE.

-
Hello,
try these two.
It only points to FSX though, you will need to copy and paste the detail1.bmp file into P3Dv4.
They are in the Source folder.
-
Hello,
in that respect, the User Guide is slightly out of date.
Once Orbx Central Libraries have been created, a screen like this will be seen and the customer can choose where to put the products.
-
The answer is that the airport is using "photo real" textures for the ground.
The "grass" effect is because you have added one of the many detail1.bmp files that
add grass textures to the ground but unfortunately, photo inserts cannot discriminate
between a picture of grass and a picture of tarmac.
In your case, it will have been the Rex control panel.
There are numerous detail1.bmp files available to make the tarmac look more like tarmac
but of course, they also add tarmac looking texture to the grass.
Orbx has this:

Hello Jon,
just the museum building on its own.Apologies,
the same as you.
-
Hello,
I find that I am completely unable to make the building disappear.
I wonder if you might have something else installed that is inhibiting it?
-
Hello,
did you make the search as suggested in post 7 and if so, did you find the same files?

A brief guide to the Nvidia Sharpening Option
in X-Plane 11
Posted
Hello,
Please do not use this topic to promote your own opinions about developers.
This is in fact a new feature provided by Nvidia which will enhance the quality of any game.
It is extremely generous of Pete to devote so much time to such an exhaustive guide.
There are however no grounds to criticise the developers of any of the games, as sharpening
is not a fix at all but a new feature provided Nvidia.
