Jeff's Round the World with ORBX (026)

Leg 26 - Still in Japan!

This trip was:

Hiroshima (RJOA) to New Chitose (RJCC), via a few intervening VORs

Leaving Hiroshima at dawn

First waypoint, the VOR at Okayama

This would be leaving Matsumoto RJAF, I think, after a fuel stop

Hmm ... heading into colder northern climes

...some Vector goodness...

...weather getting a little bit more interesting...

Akita RJSK, possibly (I know, I should have kept a note of which pic was which!).

Didn't stop here.

Aomori RJSA (again, maybe!)... didn't stop here either

Leaving the mainland...

Over there is the field and VOR Hakodate (HWE)

...and finally, as I head for my stop at New Chitose (RJCC), I spot a couple of frozen lakes. Cool :)

...and here endeth, perhaps, my FSX days! My laptop died and I am currently working out the niggles with getting P3Dv2 working on my meagre laptop!

Which is also partly why, something like a week or more later, I can't remember what any of these shots are!

I have two final legs of my Japanese flight plan and then I need to jump across to Russia and head up the coast.

I only have P3D loaded with Global, mesh and Vector at the moment; hoping the US regions are ready before I get that far.

I don't have REX textures or a weather package for P3D yet; maybe next month and the month after; I spent a small fortune this last few weeks on all the UK regions, mesh and Vector, then P3D and FSUIPC. Ouch!

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Guys,

I have P3D installed, Global, Vector and PILOTs FTX mesh.

I have a new flight plan out of Japan, up the Russian coast and into Alaska.

It will take a while.

P3D is going ok, though I have had to wind the settings back.

In rural places I'm getting up close to 30fps on the settings I have, which I would not have seen in FSX.

I'm quietly hopeful :)

Cheers
