jaseman007
Hello all and welcome back to my round the world trip with this leg seeing us fly Broome to Brisbane. I mentioned in my last post that the T7 needed to head over to Cairns for maintenance. The engine bleed valves were showing a fault so unfortunately, we couldn't fly passengers in her. That's all okay though as we were given a nice shiny old 737-200 (recently flown over from Canada) to make our journey in. She will see us to Cairns where we will pick up the T7 and head to Chubu Centrair (Japan). Anyway we left picturesque Broome in some cracking weather, took a turn to the South briefly and the headed East, past Alice Springs, on to Roma, Taroom with the Smoka River Track arrival into Brisbane. The river track will take you west of the CBD, left turn over the famous Breakfast Creek, over the Gateway Bridges then short finals to 01. It's a great little compact arrival perfect for the 732. Latest RTW stats below: Block times TD: 15HRS 27MINS Distance TD: 6,924NM Fuel Used: 90,024 KG Stocking up, getting ready to depart Broome: Taxiing out: A nice little left hand turn with a beautiful view: Climbing out: Bye Bye Broome - see you on the next trip: Redcliffe on the left as we head towards the Brisbane CBD: We've just turned left at Breakfast Creek, Once over the Gateway Bridges we'll line up for 01: Lined up with 01: On the ground: Time for a break before we head to Cairns: Hopefully I will see you all soon for the next leg. Sunny Cairns. Jas
