Scottish Zig - Zag

Part one of a short zig-zag flight from Edinburgh to Cumbernauld in the Eastern Scottish Central Lowlands.

Taking off from rwy06 at Edinburgh. The Gogar Burn flows past the airport.

The junction of the M9 and A89 roads near Newbridge. The 2 famous bridges are in the distance.

Linlithgow Bridge and it's railway viaduct.

The Avon Aqueduct carries the Union Canal over the River Avon at Linlithgow.

It is the second longest aqueduct in the UK at 810ft. Designed by Thomas Telford the bridge is lined with a cast iron trough to carry the canal.

Grangemouth Oil Refinery on the south bank of the Forth.

The town of Grangemouth and the docks.

Longannet Power Station is the third largest coal fired power station in Europe.

All straight vees with minimal cropping.
