  1. Great idea to show the two QMs side by side! At first I wondered too, but the last image is certainly distorted by the fisheye effect (just as QM1 appears larger than QM2 a few images up). That said, QM2 is really quite a hunk (QM2 310m vs QM1 269m). By the way, I found an interesting size comparison with the Titanic:
  2. Blue walls: This can be fixed quickly as it is the same wrong texture assignment as with the other building group (normal maps accidentally assigned as emissive textures, hence the blue glow). The thing with the scenery order when YSSY was obtained directly via FT can also be solved. The cause is the different way of installation depending on where it was bought. As soon as I am back in the office after Christmas, I will try to offer a workaround until the problem can be solved with a hotfix. YRPA helipad: Actually the helipads have been tested thoroughly but will look into this.
  3. Ah, great. Now it looks like it should. Rob, sorry for the inconvenience - we really should include user manuals again.
  4. Rob, I'll have a look at that. So this is the problem with the two P3D Addon.cfgs and their different approaches. But yes, for now, at least disabling the FT PR BGLs should no longer suppress the autogen (hopefully).
  5. Thanks Gerold. Building this lighthouse was really fun (almost a bit too much - it's actually way too detailed). Nice that you visited it right away.
  6. Found the cause for the blue areas - will be fixed via a mini-update as soon as possible.
  7. Thanks for the heads-up. Another candidate for the next option panel
  8. You can turn off about half of the CityEngine buildings in the configuration panel anyway. However, this mainly concerns industrial buildings, warehouses, etc. Maybe I'll expand the options so that all - or at least many more - CE buildings can be turned off.
  9. Yep, as John suggests. Additionally, untick more (or all) items on the Sydney configuration panel before starting a flight and see if it still crashes. You can add items later one by one.
  10. Thanks for your kind words Darren! I'm especially happy that it performes well for you. Should be above. Weird indeed. Looks like missing LM textures. I cannot replicate it atm but will look into this.
  11. Hi Rob, the insertion point was my first thought as well. In fact, as John states, Sydney must be above FT (Orbx Central sorts this by itself if YSSY was installed via OC). Stupid question: Does your YSSY version still have an option to deactivate FT LC separately (Scenery Library or Add-On)? If so, untick it. Otherwise you could try to set the files 'Sydney_Photo.bgl' and 'Sydney_Photo_lm.bgl' in the FT directory to OFF.
  12. In short and to be honest, no. It just wouldn't be fair to say that. But the challenge here was not to increase performance, but to include as many details as possible and still make the scenery flyable and enjoyable.
  13. Hi there, CityEngine refers to the way the buildings have been generated, using Esri CityEngine as a basis (and further processing in other programs). It is a mix of generic buildings, which share only a few textures for performance reasons (like with autogen), and individual design via custom rules and 3D editing.
  14. I'm on it, but so far I haven't found a solution that doesn't cause more problems in that area. (Und schöne Grüße zurück )
  15. Correct, that's true for many objects and I'm working on it. But for a certain reason it doesn't make sense to release an update right now. I can only ask for a little patience - the next update will also contain further changes.
