Recommended Posts

throwing in my hat to say that this looks a real gem and cant wait to get it on dvd. I love piercing that cellophane and opening the case.. I actually take a big smell of it like newly printed paper , or a highlighter or woman's suntan lotion ..... like A new car smell... it makes me so happy and relaxed feeling ....of course all this is just small beans compared to the moment I take off to see the newest creation.!!! cant wait My oh my!

Wow, once again the bar is being raised. I think the inclusion of such a large area of photo scenery is an excellent idea, especially considering the beauty of surrounding peaks. This will become my main airport to fly from for sure. It really captures the feel of what I imagine the area to be like (I have been in many other parts of the Rockies but not yet this one). Exciting times in the world of FSX and Prepar3D!! Thanks Jarred for your superb and skilled efforts!

Cheers

Steve

These screen shots make me home sick. I worked in and around jackson hole and the teton national park for five years.

Had a great time and met a bunch of famous people that gave big tips!! A good day of hauling fame was better than the

hourly wage and weekly paycheck I was getting from the company. ::)

I visited there so many years ago that I am scared to tell:

But in CRM the Grand Tetons (sexist I know but big tits) are well rendered, but the default KJAC is just that, a default. But the arrival and approach are challenging even in the present scenery.

This is a long way round to say I am now absolutely impatiently looking forward to the release of this splendid add-on.

Sorry, John, but I cannot spend more money in the sale since I have the strong impression that from May on there will be a whole lot of new projects to consider!

Great work, once again! That is a master piece!

While any plane the President is on is Air Force One, 99.9% of the time he's on the 747. That's Air Force Two, used by the Veep.

I've seen Air Force Two in person, and it doesn't have the same paint scheme as Air Force One. It's also a lot smaller than the static model showed in the scenery.

Air Force Two is the designation for any Air Force plane with the VP aboard. The Boeing C-32, which is a military transport version of the 757, is the normal transport for the VP, and many times the Secretary of State. The Gulfstream G-37A is a Gulfstream V that is designed for the US Armed Forces, and is an occaisonal AF1 and AF2.

As it is a 757 it looks about right to me.....

AF1 and AF2 are moveable numbers depending on the passenger. Technically can be any USAF aircraft. However over time, the aircraft have become fairly specialised so the two that you discuss are most often carrying the designation. But the Pres doesn't always fly into a strip that can handle a 747 - though less often nowadays.

Cheney used one of the VC-25's (747) during a world trip after 9/11. After the new president is inaugurated, the VC-25 (or VC-137 when it was the 707) took the incumbent back home as Special Air Mission (28000 in 2009). Army One/Two were used as the helicopters until 1976, when the Marines took over. There has never been a Coast Guard One, but Biden did have a Coast Guard Two in 2009 aboard an HH-60 Jayhawk. There has been one Navy One, and that was a Lockheed S-3 Viking that George W. Bush flew aboard when he visited the USS Abraham Lincoln in 2003; there was also a Navy Two, in which Walter Mondale flew to watch an olympic game in 1980, it was a Convair VC-131 (COnvair 580 turboprop). President Nixon also flew on the only commercially scheduled flight in 1973, aboard a United DC-10, as Executive One. Executive Two has been used when Nelson Rockefeller wanted to use his personal Gulfstream instead of the C-9 Nightingale.

Bruce,

You're right. Air Force Two does have a different paint scheme than Air Force One. It has the same paint scheme as the 757 in the screen shot. I suggest you Google Air Force One and Two to see the difference.

On the other hand, the plane in question might be Michelle's private plane she uses when she goes on vacation. It is in Jackson Hole, you know! :)

Joe
