ricky76
Well, after determining that it is in fact NOT an alien crop circle, I have removed the tinfoil from my head. So now I can say, I wonder if these farmers have ever seen their own "creations" that they have ploughed into the ground. Perfect shot there Howard!! Holger Sandmann
Hi guys, in a way this thing is from "outer space" because the farmer probably set up the pattern as waypoints in his GPS and then put his monster John Deere on autopilot and let the satellites guide the rig. Cheers, Holger

rockliffe
Woawww! Where is it ? Yeah, that was my reaction Bug. I mean, that is one hell of a sized crop circle for a couple of guys to make with a length of rope and some wooden planks! It is between MT82 and north of 6S0 (or it may be 6SO)

It is between MT82 and north of 6S0 (or it may be 6SO) Hi guys, don’t mix this up with "crop circles". The OP pic is an example for center pivot irrigation and the resulting farming in circles. So these are called "farm circles" and have nothing to do with those "outa space" thingy. And as Holger said, farmers are really useing GPS waypoints for autofarming. You can find more info here center pivot irrigation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_pivot_irrigation farming in circles: http://www.novariant.com/agriculture/pdfs/WhyCirclesonPivots2.pdf autofarming http://www.gpsfarm.com/ GPS farming http://www.rmtracking.com/blog/2010/08/18/survey-irrigation-and-crop-circles-the-new-gps-based-farmer/ Cheers, Wolfgang
