olderndirt
The Cascades are part of a mountain range that runs from Alaska through Canada and continues south via Oregon, Cal and Mexico. This airport 'Lost River' is up near the Canadian border and today's aircraft is the Beech 50 called the 'T-bone'. In AK the high Minimum Obstruction clearance altitudes on Victor airways require a commercial use aircraft to hold the altitude on one engine - the T-bone could, Aztecs and such couldn't nor could the Fairchild F27. Rob Abernathy
Heading up to the Mt Rainier area in a couple of weeks. Love the Cascades. The southern most mountain of the Cascades is directly East of me about 35 miles away, Mt Lassen.
