olderndirt Posted September 30, 2020 Share Posted September 30, 2020 My home town for three years - Arcadia, about halfway between Sarasota and Okeechobee on FL70. Down the Peace River to Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda on the south side of Charlotte Harbor. This 'Legacy' has a nice interior. Twin towns of Sarasota/Bradenton with the airport on the north end in Bradenton. The 'Sunshine Skyway' bridge across the south end of Tampa Bay brings you to St Petersburg on the left. One thing I did run into - unfortunately with no foresight. The guys who were credited with the 9/11 disaster were trained to fly by an outfit in Sarasota. I often visited with the gent who managed the Arcadia airport and he mentioned these guys and their disdainful attitude.
