Lothians

East Lothian is my ancestral home - a long line of Scottish plowmen reaching back to the 1500's (where my genealogy guy hit the wall)  Nobody travelled more than fifty miles - neither did I 'til America called.  There are three Lothian counties, east/mid and west stretching along the Forth shore from Dunbar in the east to Linlithgow in the west.  Once part of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Northumbria, it became part of emerging Scotland after a battle (what else?).

North Berwick

Gullane - famous for its several links style golf courses which proliferate the Scottish coast.  A place to test your mettle or wood - whatever.

Prestonpans - the only good thing to happen during the '45 Jacobite rebellion.

How about the champagne Beech with the cork cowl.

Nice shots, but you missed out West Lothian (where I live :))

Sorry about that - ran out of film.  I lived in Sighthill back when Livingston was just a few brand new roads - no buildings but you could tell there was a plan.

Nice shots ond. Is it true? How many Magpies are under a Scott's mans kilt? Does it really depend on the length of it's perch :o

An interesting question - that's what's so great about this forum.
