Thanks for all the comments. Hi Glen. Saxa was one of the postings for my trade (ADO) when I joined the RAF in September 1964. I know quite a few guys who were posted there and most enjoyed their time. Didn't get there myself. The radar heads were certainly damaged by high winds on a few occasions and many urban myths grew up around those stories.
