The problem we may have next season is because it has been so wet the undergrowth will have grown so there may be a lot of fuel on the forest floor. The dreadful fires last year were partly due to forest miss management in not reducing the fuel load at ground level, as well as fire breaks not being maintained. There have been much worse fires that this over the last 200 years that have burned much larger areas.
