Hauer Posted May 14, 2020 Share Posted May 14, 2020 Just completed a 3 hour, 13 minute flight from Kano, Nigeria via Niger to Misrata, Libya. Unfortunately, nothing much to see other than sand, sand, sand, which in all fairness is to be expected when flying over the Sahara region. The flight was carried out with an A320 belonging to Ghadames Air Transport of Libya. There are normaly no direct flights and one generally has to fly via one or two intermediate destinations. The airline started operations in 2004... Again, Orbx has done a marvelous job with OpenLC Africa. Welcome on board and ... fasten your seatbelt! Herman Preparing for departure from Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Some of the many buildings, Kano Heading North to even drier pastures... The sands of the Sahara Cruising at FL370 and approaching Libya from Niger and passing fairly close to both the Algerian and Chad borders Irrigation schemes on Libyan soil Finally after reaching the Mediterranean, the flight continued along the Libyan coast Approaching Misrata Airport Happy passengers as there was no need for them to change airports along the way Thanks for looking!
