Mach Loop

With this old timer you get to enjoy the scenery.

 

Off Llanbedr in northwest Wales and turning up Barmouth Bay.

Here we go - follow the A487 through the little canyon.

That little lake is just beyond the next left turn.

At 600 plus kts there's probably a little 'G' here.

It's actually named for an adjacent town, Machynelleth, but of course the presence of high speed aircraft gives it a dual meaning.  An RAF designated low level training area - sharp turns, rapidly changing terrain - mostly for fast jets.
