I am a huge fan or ORBX FTX EU England, Scotland and Wales where I do most of my flying. Sometimes I like to head further afield, especially Cyprus. I also have Global Base and Vector and am tempted to pick up FS Global 2010 to improve the shape of the terrain outside of the full pack FTX regions, but it is quite expensive. I would love to see what it can do to somewhere to see the improvement and judge whether the big cost is worth it since the ORBX products have already revolutionised my sim and I am not sure if this is needed. Would someone who has Global Base and Vector, and also FS Global 2010 mind taking a flight out of LCLK Larnaca and heading east down the coast, quite low level, and taking a few pics of the coast please? Would love to see what the Agia Napa coastline looks like and also Cape Greco if you don't mind. (You will enjoy the flight!) If anyone has any opinions on what improvement FS Global 2010 brings then I would also be really interested. Many thanks for taking the time to read this post. I can do this - but it may be an idea if you first post some pics with the SLEW co-ordinates showing - then we can replicate your shots exactly! Adam. I really appreciate everyone's help, it is very useful to see the difference and I can see where the mesh has given a bit more shape to the ground e.g. the slope of the terrain around Agia Napa is softer and more natural than the jagged terrain without it. Adam Banks Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 There are probably other parts of the world you could test where the differences would be more marked (Gibraltar, for example) ... or areas in Switzerland etc. I made some comparison shots around the Ardeche (Gorge) in S.France and there was quite a substantial improvement. Not sure if this would be covered by the Open LC Europe pack by the way but I have it so that might effect the land class compared to normal. Otherwise it is just Global Base and Vector with HD Trees (Rex 4 working the textures on the airport and water but this is really about the mesh and topography) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am not specifically interested in flying around Gib as such, it's more as Adam suggested, to use it as a great 'lumpy' way of testing what FS Global 2010 does to the shape of the scenery. Aerosoft does make a massive improvement. I love the Larnaca X addon they produced, might be tempted to get Gib if I ever find myself needing a base down in those parts. I am very happy that you enjoy flying all over my Country ! Cyprus is and will always be a Fantastic Place to fly ! Orbx has done a Wonderful Job together with FS Global 2010 ! I Fly almost everyday all around , and believe me it is much much better than the default One !
