I tried NZQN with WU12 and NZ Mesh. No obvious spikes, but I did get narrow black lines appearing at the junctions of the tiles as I approached them. They'd disappear once you pass over them. I cleared my rolling cache before that session, so maybe it was rebuilding it. I'll give it another go with multiple flights in the same session to see if they persist.

OK - I'll enable mine and see what I get!

I've not run MSFS with NZ Mesh since I updated to WU12/NZ. Did you spot any problems/glitches when run together?

I think since this thread started, quite a few MSFS products have been added - 27 in all. That said - I still wish the system would allow for Orbs->discounts across the board Also - when I think about it, the Orbs system actually *penalises* loyal/frequent buyers as the more you own, the less choices you get (isn't that the situation you're in?).

Many thanks to all for the votes that enabled me to add EGTR (Elstree) to my collection! It's a wonderfully "aged" airport with lots of atmosphere - and very popular with GA fliers! My first visit was in my beloved Chipmunk - and nice to see the mould/rust/weathering on those hangar doors (looks rather like our garage in RL!): The roof looks like ours too! Could I make a suggestion (to your web developers)? ... make your links more obvious The Orbs Store link (in red) could be bold, underlined or whatever. I just wouldn't have spotted it ... and this is after working as a Web Developer for over 20 years!! I'd say the same goes for *all* links throughout the site Anyway ... going by the page Nick so kindly found for me, I redeemed Elstree (EGTR) for my comp prize, so will soon be spamming the screenshots forum!

I have 278 Orbs to "spend" (having just won a screencomp -thanks!) ... but I'm having great difficulty in finding MSFS addons that can be redeemed with Orbs. They only show when you've opened up the full description page of each addon. There's *no indication* in any of the section lists that they're Orbs-redeemable. This means I'd have to go throught *the whole Orbx Direct Catalogue* to make a selection. I hate to sound ungrateful (for the prize) but this Orbs thing really is a bit of a mess at the moment

Good point! BUT ... ... I think that's also true for JustFlight (a mixture of their own products+other devs) ... yet their points system applies across the board.

The EULA answers my question: "Can I use Orbs along with regular purchases (as a discount)"? Orbs cannot be used (at this stage) for: Gifting products to other users Applying discounts to product purchases. Some selected products. I think this is a huge mistake! Many other companies have similar schemes and allow this.

I enter the comps mainly for fun - but, as I'm retired (and on a pension), I'm always very grateful for the bonus of a payware product that I couldn't afford. I too was disappointed by the limited range of MSFS products available with Orbs. It wouldn't surprise me if the low comp turnout was because of the reduced incentive of Orbs prizes. The screencomps can be a really good showcase for Orbx products and, after all, these prizes aren't physical boxes that need to be stocked/delivered - so Orbx shouldn't really be losing that much revenue (if any). For example - if I win a prize and choose a product that I maybe wouldn't have actually bought, then Orbx haven't lost any revenue from me - but what they *do* get is a series of "thank you" posts that showcase the product. If the showcase screenshots are by people that win comps, then you'd expect their quality to be above average - so making great publicity for Orbx.

it's freeware - but for best results, you really need Orbx NZ Mesh for the surrounding mountains. Plus ... I also use Bijan's trees (payware) mod.
