Thanks Paul, they reckon they get about 2 days of sunshine a year. We got 2 of those days :)

We got even three of these!. But no reason to worry: When it rains, the waterfalls become more impressive. And every traveller in this area will have enough rain protective gear in the backpack...

    Here another sporty approach:

Had to keep an eye on him during class, he had his eye on a poodle, which was really funny, she stood underneath him. 😂

Haha, exactly what I assumed. Have fun...!

Thanks everyone for the comments, and I'm sorry for the late replies, but unfortunately my health has been pretty bad of late.

Let's hope better late than never.

All the best for a good recovery, Don.

  3. We are baking numerous types of (German) Christmas cookies in a family event every year. My favourite ones are the Bethmaennchen: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethmännchen

Bethmännchen (German for "a little Bethmann") is a pastry made from marzipan with almond, powdered sugar, rosewater, flour and egg. It is a traditional cookie usually baked for Christmas Day ... The name comes from the family of Bethmann. Legend has it that Parisian pastry chef Jean Jacques Gautenier developed the recipe for banker and city councilor Simon Moritz von Bethmann in 1838. ... After one and a half centuries of manufacturing, its form and recipe has never been changed.

Hi John - Thank you for trying to explain the debacle over the last few months with Orbx - and - NZ mesh problems - not

helped by more probs after the Milford Sound and NZA's problems there' As far as I am aware - you are the only Orbx team member

who has taken the trouble to give us customers a reasonable explanation - the Marketing department - included;)

After looking at @carlosqr´s recent screenies of Milford Sound I was considering to buy this scenery. But, after disappointment with 2 other products (Auckland and Cape Town) and the total lack of any feedback of the Orbx team I just placed the question if the issues with Milford have been overcome meanwhile.

As I can read here and in this post (as cited) problems are not solved and - with the welcomed exception of The Problem Handlers (I mean @Nick Cooper and @John Burgess) - zero answers are given from Orbx. So I have to wait before buying.

If this does not sound happy, that´s correct. If I do not seem like an loyal customer, see at my product list below.

    Hi all,

The texture used has been in place since the launch of NZA Milford Sound Region. We were asked by a lot of our customer base during development to try and do something about the issues with tearing. This is the solution that was put in place.

There is another bug going on with the MSFS engine which we have open with Asobo where the normals are flipped and why we can't just create a new texture and replace the one we have used. If we do that then we introduce other issues into the scenery which are worse.

Until that bug is fixed we wont be changing it as we have no way to use our textures without introducing the normals rendering issue into the scenery. Its not a quick solve as the issue has been logged with Asobo for the past three sim updates since it was introduced.

Because of these reasons, I would forget about it for now and get on with flying around NZMF and some of the other bush airstrips around this massive area.

It has been noted and we will do something when we can and after they have sorted the normals issue out (which is holding up a whole bunch of other cool stuff)

Hi, does anyone know if this problem with the NZMF scenery has been solved meanwhile?
