Nice set thanks Gerold keep improving my geography
Thanks to Orbx, they did these sceneries so well that we just have to fly there. And discover loads of details...

Great old plane for a (great?) new runway. And the adequate flying style.

Great shots of another virtual travel, Pete.

Thank you Iain.

Thanks a lot, John. The colourful ground markings in KLAX are something quite special, whyever they have painted them...

Thank you TT. From the sea to the sand. From crowded to lonely. All possible titles for this flight...

Time to escape the city of LA over the weekend.
The coastal El Segundo dunes are probably not a quiet place to rest, ...
... just under the 4 runways of KLAX.
And the Chevron refinery doesn´t make the nearby beaches much more attractive.
Redondo Beach, a place not less crowded, ...
... and Long Beach also just wears this name, but not too useful as a hideway as well. But these details & sharpness make me enjoy p3d with only little doubts (click on the picture to enlarge).
Huntington Beach, where Jurgen Klinsmann lives since decades.
Some traffic ahead, as I begin to turn inland...
... and climb over the San Mateo mountains.
Descending along the motorway to Banning, ...
... and the Morongo Casino. I remember there have been some advertising signs posted next to the road, but I can´t spot them from this altitude.
What can be seen are the San Jacinto mountains and the desert behind.I forgot to take the obligatory landing picture at Palm Springs, but I promise to get you one from the start!

Fantastic shots, mate. Murray Island lies a bit off my (or everybodys?) tracks, but it looks so great it will be worth a virtual trip again...

Brilliant shots, Comandante John. Light & scenery looks fantastic.
Still I miss static / flowing people in a house like this.

You make the point. When moving, we should all take care for this.

Fantastic little city tour, IK. Didn´t the use to offer these tours with helicopters before Corona? Times are changing...

OMG what is this?
First time in life I see these
Messerschmitt KR. KR means Kabinenroller, cabin roller. After WW2 the company Messerschmitt changed their portfolio a bit and tried to get into road mobility, with no long success.
The Isetta had its door in the front. Or better, the front WAS the door. No real protection against crashes...

I was driving in a Beetle as well. I always remember its winter performance: The ventilation was bad, so the windscreen used to ice from the outside AND inside. The advantage of that car was the plain screen: You could use a scratcher to improve de-icing. On the other hand, having the motor in the back combined with rear-wheel-drive made slippery roads quite challenging.
The smallest car I ever sat in was an orange Fiat 500. Luckily enough it had a big removable roof, so you could even strech you back and arms.

Thank you JJJ. Indeed it is Hearst Castle, and it even has a little airstrip down at the coast.

Hey Mate Great shots! Look i was wondering what b200 you are using and if you could pease link the repaint
On 8/14/2021 at 9:55 AM, Scott Harmes said:Hi Tommo.
Looks to be the Carenado B200. I believe this paint was at OzX years ago and unfortunately most of the files for repaints have been lost since the site was hacked. Sent you a PM.
Cheers,
Hi there, Scott is fully right: It is the Carenado B200. And the livery VH-MVJ is quite probably lost from the web. Well, not here...

Î think those waiting since ages for this might deserve a statement of the actual state of this project and its future.
Indeed, a little notification would be motivating. Once the interest is gone, it is gone.

Continuing my tour down the NA Pacific coast I took a vintage bird from Monterey, ...
... visited Cannery Road once again, ...
... and climbed out over Carmel.
Some minutes later I dropped the noise of my engines over Hearst Castle, ...
... yes, it is here.
Crossing the detailed coast over Morro Bay, ...
... and the Pismo Dunes, ...
... before I came down to Oxnard waterfront...
... and (downwind) along Beverly Hills.
An ocean of houses next to the LA Olympic stadium.
And compared to this, a quiet and peaceful runway of KLAX.- 6
