  1. I just researched it Calum . "Ball's Pyramid is an erosional remnant of a shield volcano and caldera lying 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Lord Howe Island in the Pacific Ocean. It is 562 metres (1,844 ft) high, while measuring 1,100 metres (3,609 ft) in length and only 300 metres (984 ft) across, making it the tallest volcanic stack in the world. Ball's Pyramid is part of the Lord Howe Island Marine Park in Australia. The pyramid is named after Royal Navy Lieutenant Henry Lidgbird Ball, who reported discovering it in 1788. On the same voyage, Ball also reported discovering Lord Howe Island."
  2. That is brilliant Don! Keep flying! New pc any day now
  3. The one thing to remember Don is that they always seem to drop in price over time!
  4. Many thanks Don . That must have been an amazing trip for you. It does look a special place.
  5. Thank you kindly. Much appreciated .
  6. Thanks Calum . I enjoyed putting it together. That rock out at sea is amazing!
  7. YLHI Lord Howe Island Airport is located in the Tasman Sea, 600 km (370 mi) east of Port Macquarie on the east coast of mainland Australia. It is an important transit and refueling point for light aircraft flying between Australia and New Zealand. Just some shots in MSFS. I love the detail that I can include in images nowadays .
  8. I don't regard it as "restricting my view", Mark. I have used 16:9 monitors for years in the past (and 4:3 before that). I moved to a curved 21:9 34" a few years ago then moved to a 38" curved 4k UWS 21:9. I have been looking a 40" one, but the screen difference from 38" is quite small in practice. I just prefer a 21:9 perspective for flight simming. BTW, I also have a 55" 16:9 8k TV and would not choose to sim on that. Just my opinion based on my experience .
  9. Thank you kindly Calum .
  10. Thanks Landon . I can remember reading about the Balkans war in the 92-95 period and then the Kosovo war after that. There is so much history in that whole area which contributed to the conflicts.
  11. Thank you Jean Marc . It was quite a short flight from Long Beach to the carrier.
  12. A great set Bernd . Imagine sightseeing in a 747!
  13. Glad that you liked them Landon . I had to take them over two days/flights as I had to cut the first one short!
  14. Some images from the new release - BKPR Pristina International Airport in Kosovo. A very nice well detailed airport . It lies at the centre of the Balkans. Kosovo unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia in 2008 and has since gained diplomatic recognition as a sovereign state by 100 member states of the United Nations. The map shows its location in Europe.
  15. Many thanks Calum . For me it illustrates the high quality available in simulators today.
  16. Not for me Ken . I like UWS 21:9 monitors for flying. Great immersion. The Samsung might be curved but is 16:9.
  17. A departure from CYAZ Tofino/Long Beach Airport to perform a flypast for CVN 79 John F Kennedy off the coast of the Olympic Peninsula Washington State, PNW USA. The Hawk is the T-45C Goshawk, a carrier capable version of the BAe Hawk. MSFS
  18. Looking good TTM . I like the livery from JK.
  19. Landon, you have identified one of my big weaknesses. I never used to be like that, but it has become more of an issue as I have grown older .
