Pretty girls at Hanmer Springs

Having never flown the ME109 from Justflight I thought it was about time to give it a go.

Went to Hanmer Springs situated in New Zealand's picturesque South Island.

The most numerous fighter aircraft in history with 33984 being produced.

The very narrow u/c cause no end of problems for the 109 on the ground.

Always looked very ungainly to me.

G'day Girls!

Got it down first time!

10% of 109s built were lost in ground accidents, 1500 between 1939-41.

Even so once in the air the 109 was the most formidable of opponents with several German Aces building up a staggering number of kills, mostly on the eastern front.

Supernice set, nice place to fly, but it's allways hard to choose where we gonna fly today ;)

It is getting harder to choose every day thanks to the folks at ORBX.

I like pretty girls and you shots.  Happy flying, PDX.

Hands off, I saw then first

Thanks Dolf and PDX for commenting.

Thank you Francois.

Lovely shots and those NZ textures are still one of a kind!

'tis a wonderful place to fly, but we have such a big ORBX world that I don't fly here often enough.

Many thanks for your great comments guys.
