DjMatty2k9
Hi I am looking for some rudder pedals for FSX that are suitable for Helicopter flying. I'm wondering if anyone can help. Thanks in advance, Matt
TerribleT
Saitek - just plug and play and setup in FSX
paddler
Agree with Saitek. I have had mine, complete with yoke and extra throttle quadrant for years and am very happy with them. Any problems have been shortlived and easily rectified with help from forums and the use of Pete Dowson's FSUIPC registered copy. Problems always turned out to be my problem with setting them up properly.
John Dow
I've had flawless service for over 5 years from my CH Pro yoke and pedals. Bought the Saitek at one stage but sold it and kept the CH Pro as it's yoke has a much more realistic action. Each to their own though.
Derek McAllan
CH are the better pedals in general but I prefer the Saitek ones as they are better suited to larger feel like mine, and are spaced wider apart as well.
carlo
You can spend your Money for cheap plastic toys with crap potentiometers or you can invest in a quality Product. I am using a Simped Vario Rudder for over 10 years now, presice Movemont without wear (Hall Generator), essential for Helicopter Pilots. Here is an older review of these Rudders: http://www.cagesworl...rio/index.shtml

They are the best but quite pricey.....without toe brakes...maybe 150 euros....with toe brakes....almost double that.....Gunter Hofman builds them in Germany...his late Father started the business. Here is the direct link to his site.....he is very responsive....at least he has been for me over the years. alan2
Well, I use the cheap plastic crap, been working fine for years, and will be until I build my own with some Leo Bodner gear. Since we are on the subject of pedals here's some more https://flypfc.com/?/products/rudder-pedals/P0/
Dean (PC Aviator)
Pretty even comparing Saitek to CH in the pedals department. Saitek certainly has more features than the CH and pedals are spread a little wider apart for comfort. Saitek has a slightly higher problem rate in my experience selling these but the newer Combat style pedals have reduced this incidence markedly. Saitek made in China, CH made in the USA (CH components tend to last longer - potentiometers etc) CH cheaper in general (at least in AUS) after Saitek hiked up their price recently on Saitek Combat pedals (again, at least in AUS they did). If you are in Europe, consider the Simpeds as mentioned too (not available in AUS).
Clutch Cargo
Saitek Combat Pro pedals. Best I have ever had. Metal construction, pedal angle is adjustable, tension is also adjustable.

Agreed - these are the ones I'm going to get. They're on sale for 180 instead of 200 right now (USD) http://store.gamesha...&idCategory=173 I've used both the CH and Saitek pro flight rudders... The CH ones were horrible, way too lose, unrealistic. The Saitek were alright, tension adustable, but still felt loosy goosey...
