Graduation night. Our last dance. When it was over I kissed her on the cheek, told her I loved her and walked out the door. I never saw her again.  I'll always remember her, and that last song.........

Sounds familiar. I dated the same girl all through senior high school, graduated, went in the Navy, and that was The last time I ever saw her. 

I think our last dance was always The Five Satins In The Still Of The Night

I bought The Platters The Great Pretender in 1955.
