TigerTigerM
Using the drone camera to have a look at 3 more of the 7 airfields in Ken Hall's PNG Part 2. (These shots were taken before the recent update) TTM AYSP, Sapmanga. 1,526' long at an elevation of 2,912' AYSP - Yes, a lawnmower has been located! AYSP - I assume the smoking chimney means breakfast is underway. AYBC - Bambu. 1,345' long at an elevation of 6,790'. What struck me while looking at the skyline is that these airstrips are located in pretty hilly country. AYBC livestock In case one gets lost - handy sign. AYNA - Nankina. 1,805' long at an elevation of 5,800'. Showing here how AYNA, (& other PNG airstrips), are often located on downwards sloping ridges, with houses either side of the airstrip, and there are also houses on nearby ridges or spurs. AYNA livestock. Edited April 16 by TigerTigerM
