Yet another one gone. Gary Wright, the musician best known for his hit singles “Dream Weaver” and “Love Is Alive,” died Monday. He was 80. RIP brother, your music lives on.

I spent a lot of time at Margaritaville in Key West.

I remember spotting it once, when I was deployed down there as part of a P3 crew.  Walked in and looked around - somebody playing music.  Staff was nice, said Jimmy would come in from time to time.  That was before the whole thing really took off.  In fact, I think I did ask if they sold T-shirts and they were out - but I could be misremembering, it has been 30+ years now.

I'll be stopping in at Margaritaville resort in South Padre Island TX in a couple weeks, when I am down there, to pay my respects.

Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes.  If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane.
