Cheers Iain I was at 1 Mb and if I wanted 50 Mb I needed two modems and double copper wire from the pole at $50 which AT&T doesn't offer any longer. Now at 370+ Mb. It was a block away on another pole. Had to wait for another tech for 45 minutes to help string fiber from that pole to the one in my backyard. This installation was a free service. This installation was a free service. sounds like a pain, we had fiber installed, easy job they said, fitted a box inside the house, all the needed was to run the fiber through the old pipework, not a chance, we had a porch built a few years back and the builders squashed the pipe, came back a week later and had to reroute the cable, then told me that as we live in a townhouse had they known the modem could've been installed on the first floor to give us better wifi on the top floor, nightmare sometimes how the left and right hands fail to communicate, and worse still because that's their field of expertise!!! allegedly.. 1 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AT&T sent out notices about upgrading to fiber that my area was available, but not so. And when the modem was activated the tech had to wait 45 minutes for the updates to load which he said usually does after the installation.
