Excellent.
In my little village, the fibre only reaches a green box, then it is waxed string and baked bean tins to my house. :)

Mind you, not so long ago it was 1 Mbps, so this is relatively superb.

I remember when I first started flightsim back in the fsx days I was getting 8mb download and that was up and down like a fiddlers elbow and on and off as well.

So we have certainly moved on here in Emmsie Palace.

I'll report back later next week after install. For some reason in Oz the quickest upload is 50mbs. I notice TuFun's up and down are basically 50/50 which seems more logical.

Cheers

I was at 1 Mb and if I wanted 50 Mb I needed two modems and double copper wire from the pole at $50 which AT&T doesn't offer any longer. Now at 370+ Mb. A whole new world of speed! 😃  They just strung the wires yesterday on the poles so I can get the service to my house.

nice one, I only have 150mbs but it's usually fine, I get frustrated though when downloading and they max out at 6mbs because THEY don't have the bandwidth....

I might add it was supposed to be a one-hour job turned into 4 hours.  The tech looked a the pole and said there is no box and fiber wire. It was a block away on another pole. Had to wait for another tech for 45 minutes to help string fiber from that pole to the one in my backyard.  This installation was a free service.

sounds like a pain, we had fiber installed, easy job they said, fitted a box inside the house, all the needed was to run the fiber through the old pipework, not a chance, we had a porch built a few years back and the builders squashed the pipe, came back a week later and had to reroute the cable, then told me that as we live in a townhouse had they known the modem could've been installed on the first floor to give us better wifi on the top floor, nightmare sometimes how the left and right hands fail to communicate, and worse still because that's their field of expertise!!! allegedly..

AT&T sent out notices about upgrading to fiber that my area was available, but not so.  And when the modem was activated the tech had to wait 45 minutes for the updates to load which he said usually does after the installation. He had to stick around until that was finished before transferring my old account to the new account.
