EU Central Great Britian, still needs work but good effort

Recommended Posts

Bought the new scenery this morning and just had a flight out of Newcastle Intl Airport in the north of England.

The airport buildings in MSFS2020 have been replaced by a small faceless rectangular structure that is completely inferior to what was there before, and the King George VII bridge is not in place at all, the sequence is Coming up river from the sea, Millenium bridge, very nice, Tyne Bridge excellent, Swing Bridge, (only appears when your on top of it) and where the King George Bridge should be is still an underwater representation and a bridge like structure, This is a pretty big bridge in reality. So hopefully you can re-visit at some point. Im not complaining there is a LOT to try and do in any sim, but hope you can revisit this in the future. No regrets buying the product

Hi I too got this scenery add on today and for the most part it's really well done, but I also found that above the town of darwen that the Jubilee tower is still missing, I did mention this when they brought out the sceneries for the whole of England/Scotland and wales. While I understand they can't put everything into the scenery this tower is a major vfr point of reference.

All in all this pack  will enhance my flying but if at some point it's revisited then it would be nice to see it there.  ;)

Agree, seems like a solid job! Price point very surprising too. Just had a flight around the Leeds area.

Personally, I'd like to see some or all of the buildings marked as 'landmarks' within the sim. Because they are not it means we are unable to use the smartcam to lock on to them when doing flying around or past, which I think is always very useful when doing some low and slow sightseeing.

As an addition to my first post at the top, Orbx have done a FANTASTIC job on the Gateshead, south side of the Tyne, down by the swing bridge there is a little road, where you can park for free, if you get in early enough and an inexpensive car park further along....all excellently modelled. I work on the Newcastle side right near to the bridge, the Office tower that your first see at the North end of the Tyne Bridge is excellently modelled, our office just behind seems to have lost about 5 floors for some reason, its a 7 floor office (Save's me getting the lift to the 6th,cheers) but the alleyways and roads are spot on.

That swing bridge is 'swung' every Wednesday at 2pm....at 150 years old victorian lady.....she sometimes won't either open or gets open and creaks and groans about closing, but there's not much boat traffic that uses that bit any longer.

and for me I would never know if a POI was missing ………:):D

Same here.

I don't like to fly with the points of interested enabled. I don't like anything on screen but the scenery and plane

So it is tough to find them but I like that

Thats interesting, I've been crossing it the last few years from the car park and at silly o'clock in the morning I sometimes meet the staff, they were the one's that told me the times for opening. Good point I've not seen it myself as I'm working then. You always learn something
