RickG
Hi all. I noticed that Orbx has a package for Vancouver Int'l for my fsx/accel here--> https://orbxdirect.com/product/fsimstudios-cyvr-msfs I was wondering if anyone can tell me how it affects frame rates. As it is, if I am near cyvr, my fps gets to the low teens (11 - 14) now. Just wondering if this download would be a bit too much for my setup. Thanks a bunch! EasternT3
I could be reading your post wrong but you run FSX (with acceleration pack)? if so fsimstudios CYVR is for MSFS2020, not FSX If you do run MSFS....I would say your FPS would drop below 10. Rick There is a version available for P3Dv4 and 5, but not knowing much about such things I don't know if it would run on FSX. Hopefully someone else can help. CYVR is one of my favourite airports though and I fly a lot from there in V4. I was also lucky enough to spend a few hours on the viewing platform waiting for a flight up to Port Hardy 18 months ago !
paulk
It runs well on P3dv5.1 for me but sadly I can’t tell you how it would run or if it would even work on FSX. Perhaps ask the developers (link on their website) they are a friendly bunch and I am sure they will help. I agree CYVR is a great airport and area. I wish Orbx would do a City Scene for Vancouver. Gulfstreamtwo
If the version in discussion is for P3Dv4 and 5 and not for any other versions, it would be a 64-bit add-on and therefore not useable on any 32-bit sim, such as P3D 1-3 or FSX of any flavor. RickG
Hi all. Well, I goofed up, lol. I see now that is for the new sim, not mine. Spent too many years thinking of fsx as microsoft flight simulator I guess. sheesh. Ah well, thanks all for setting me straight. Rick
