olderndirt
A name used for US41 between Tampa and Miami - south along the Gulf coast then east across the Everglades to Miami. Historic Fort Meyers and Page Field - a lot of B24 pilots trained here. The river is the Caloosahatchee - say that with a mouth full of marbles. Below Naples and just west of Everglades City - the 'Glades begin. First Bay is the muddy one - stands to reason the next is 'Second Bay' and theres's a 'Third Bay' further inland. Whitewater Bay - wonder how many alligators call it home? Not a place for an emergency landing. Welcome to Miami.
