Touring the Isle of Lewis

Stillwater

Recommended Posts

After we finished our work, we still had some hours to spend before our return flights went off Stornoway. So we did a little tour around the island´s north (and this is well at the end of the continent...).

This is the big city, with CBD, harbour and golf course.

Just some few minutes by plane over the brown plains (inhabited by more cattle then men) we reach the west coast at Callanish.

Bresclete, where we worked at a company´s site.

Blackhouse village should be here, a tourist attraction hidden in the valleys.

And just a few minutes later we return to Stornoway, here with a slight offset...

Thanks Jack. The weather looks quite realistic, that is what I love.

the paradise of cold, screenshots that I approve because this country is not very well known;)

Thank you for the comment. Have you bee up there? It is so far west, that you nearly fall off the disc!

FWIW President Trump's mother was born in Stornoway.

You can see how far migration goes.

Nice flight and captures Gerold! :)

Thank you Adam. Unfortunately in the sim you can´t see how many cows walk around there.

No, I have never been there but it must have been the temperature of Greenland:rolleyes:

Yes I have been there, and it is not colder than in the rest of northern Europe. As long as the Gulf Stream still flows its way...

Wow, amazing shots. What a lovely airplane also!

Thank you Dario!

And the plane is on sale currently at Carenado or simmarket. Well suited for short bush runways, as they occur in Africa...
