olderndirt
Home to around 3000, Mull is second largest (after Skye) of Scotland's Inner Hebrides. Due west of Oban, it is a perfect example of wild and wonderful Scotland. Oban's airport, at North Connel is our point of departure. Oban is home to the ferries serving Mull and neighboring environs. The town of Craignure, first ferry arrival point. The main road (A849) goes left or right but doesn't rejoin. Lots of these so, 'if your boots are made for walkin', this would be the place. Mull has a nice little (2800') grass airport at Glenforsa. Looking north, with the Isles of Eigg and Rum between us and the 'far Cuillins' of Skye.
