olderndirt
This little jewel came out in 1953 - by SUD-Quest, its powered by a gas-turbine engine which in turn operates a compressor pump. The compressed air is fed through the rotor blades to their tips and propulsion occurrs. Notice the lack of a tail rotor - there is no torque. Innsbruck seemed like a great spot for a flight test. With JACK in mind.
Jack Sawyer
Pretty wild design, I like it, too bad they didn't use it in future choppers, oh, and that last shot OND is perfect.
VH-KDK
Compressed air through the rotor blade tips. That would make it a very quiet machine!
